Open Country, BBC Radio 4
I now regularly contribute to this long running rural affairs series. Subjects I have covered range from exploring the effects of the drought, the discovery of six Bronze age boats under the Fens, and the challenges facing our urban wildlife. More recent forays include an exploration into the medieval history of the Yorkshire Dales, and a unique behind the scenes look at the Army’s state of the art Afghan Training village in Norfolk, which was pick of the day in many of the papers. Open Country is broadcast at selected periods throughout the year on BBC Radio 4 at 3pm Thursday afternoons, and again at 6am Saturday mornings. If you don’t fancy an early weekend start, and you missed it, always check the BBC iplayer!
The series is also avaliable as a podcast;
